My “typical” photo shoots lasts about 1-2 hours. That being said, there really isn’t a typical photo shoot. My goal is to get the best pictures possible of your family. Some photo shoots may end earlier, but some may go longer.

Try to keep an open mind and playful spirit for your session. Just as every person is different, so is every single portrait session

What to Wear?
The best advice I can offer is to choose 3 colors and keep everyone in those colors. Accessories are always great. Out are the days of wearing black and kaki, white and jeans, or matching polos.

These days photography is taking on more of a candid, editorial style and you can get fun with your clothing! The goal is to have everyone compliment each other, but not be too "matchy-matchy." Try to avoid big logos on t-shirts, but don't be afraid of colors or patterns. Layer, Layer, Layer. Layers and texture look great in a photo. As with all design principals you apply when decorating your home, texture looks fabulous in photos!

Depending on the time of the year, bare feet are always fun. Pick clothing that fits nicely. It should be neither too tight nor too loose. The clothes should hang on the bodies well, without folding or creasing. And always dress for full-length shots, which means socks and shoes that also match and are in good shape.
